Is Your Strategy Stuck in the 20th Century?: Rethinking Our Assumptions about What Makes Organizations Thrive
June 20, 2018 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm EDT
Today, the world is a much different place than it was twenty years ago. Yet, in OD and the organizational world, we still rely on strategies that were developed in the 20th century (and a few that were developed over 2000 years ago). We need to move beyond old methods to what works in our connected, global, rapidly changing world. In this active, engaging webinar, we’ll discuss the five common assumptions about strategy, based on deeply ingrained thinking about organizations. We’ll explore new pathways towards helping organizations thrive.
Participants will leave with increased clarity about:
- How their work is tied to the five common assumptions about strategy;
- How disrupting some of those assumptions might benefit their work and their organizations; and
- What alternatives exist to the five assumptions and how to integrate them into their practices.
