When Conflict Overwhelms Change: What To Do When Groups Get Stuck

Conflict is inevitable. And conflicts in today’s organizations, in which people are expected to change so quickly, are even more common. Unfortunately, often conflict in organizations is avoided or swept under the rug. Occasionally, a conflict becomes so large that it threatens to rip apart a team, create an unpleasant working environment, or reduce productivity.
But it doesn’t have to be destructive. Within conflict, there is often very important information seeking expression. A change leader’s ability to allow that information to emerge and successfully navigate through conflict is the gateway to the success of teams, change initiatives, and organizations.
In this interactive session, participants gain exposure to and experience with a technique that they can use with groups facing conflict. Participants will learn how to use the technique to help people talk respectfully and productively about conflict.
