Navigating Complex Business Ecosystems at the Strategic Execution Conference

October 21, 2014 - October 22, 2014

The Stanford Advanced Project Management (SAPM) program is excited to announce The 2014 Strategic Execution Conference, the world’s leading event focused on improving the way you execute your strategy. Leaders from the world’s most innovative companies will learn how their peers are:

  • Overcoming barriers to strategic execution
  • Aligning strategy to execution and resources
  • Focusing projects to support their strategy
  • Accelerating Successful Innovation
  • Ensuring metrics-driven decisions

Partnering Resources founder Maya Townsend is presenting “Navigating Complex Business Ecosystems: New Tools for Our Increasingly Complex, Volatile Markets” at the conference:

Companies work in complex, overlapping, constantly changing environments.Today’s customer landscape is not tomorrow’s.Yesterday’s competitor is today’s partner. And who knows what the economy will do in the future? Companies need to continue producing and performing amidst these changes. Creative companies even find opportunities amidst the tumult.

Seeing and navigating ecosystems requires different tools and skills than most people learn on the job. In this engaging, fast‐paced session, participants learn how to make the shift to ecosystem thinking. We review a case study from a technology company that faced serious ecosystem challenges; discuss strategic options based on the case; and engage in discussions about applications to participant ecosystems. Participants leave with ideas on how to bring ecosystem thinking into strategy ideation and planning.
